Twins closer Joe Nathan has a significant ligament tear in his right elbow that could require season-ending surgery.  The 35-year-old plans to rest for two weeks, then try to build up strength in the elbow before testing it again.  Nathan had 47 saves in 2009 and has 247 for his career.
