Jon Leuer and Jordan Taylor scored 20 points apiece as 17th-ranked Wisconsin crushed Illinois 72-57 in the regular season finale for both teams Sunday at Assembly Hall. Trevon Hughes posted 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Badgers, who had already clinched a first-round bye in the conference tournament. Wisconsin finishes the year 23-and-7 and 13-and-5 in the Big Ten, while Illinois ends 18-and-13 and 10-and-8. Mike Tisdale netted 16 points and Bill Cole added 14 for the Fighting Illini, who closed out the regular season on a three-game slide. The fifth-seeded Illini will face fourth-seeded Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament on Friday.
