Car causes power outage in Pontiac area
Over a thousand Com Ed customers in the Pontiac and Odell areas were without power for over an hour Monday night, after a car struck a utility pole. A Com Ed spokesman says between 9:19 and 10:30 p.m. 1,037 customers in parts of Pontiac, Pontiac Township, Odell Township and Owego Township lost power. Officials say the car struck the pole at 1720 North Aurora Street in Pontiac.
