Farm bureau group speaks out against HSUS

Imagine if there were no animal agriculture in Illinois. That’s a goal of the Humane Society of the United States, according to Brad Schmidgall, with the Livingston County Farm Bureau Young Leaders. Schmidgall says the H.S.U.S. wants to eliminate animal agriculture and everything about it. CLICK FOR SOUND Speaking at this week’s farm bureau legislative breakfast in Pontiac, Schmidgall said his group is trying to educate the public, especially city residents, on the H.S.U.S. and its ultimate goals. Farm Bureau officials emphasize the fact that the Humane Society of the United States has nothing to do with local humane societies.
