You’ll have the chance to discover history and tradition with a scenic bus tour of colorful barn quilts. The Livingston County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee is hosting the tour in Kankakee County on Friday, April 16. Participants will be able to board the bus at 7:30 a.m. that day at Dave’s Supermarket in Fairbury or at 8:00 a.m. at the Farm Bureau office in Pontiac. Barn quilts are large, colorful, wooden blocks that are designed, painted and mounted on the side of barns. To make a reservation for the tour, call 815-842-1103 or e-mail: livcfb@verizon.net.
