The Pontiac United Way has reached its 2009-2010 campaign goal. Local United Way leaders were excited to announce the $175,000 total, during Thursday night’s campaign celebration. Outgoing United Way President Carole Peterson is happy the goal was reached. CLICK FOR SOUND Incoming President Milford Hunter is not sure if the goal will be raised next year. 17 local agencies benefit from the Pontiac United Way and the need continues to grow, since many groups are receiving less money from the state at a time when more people are using the services.
