New board members seated for GLCEDC
The transitional meeting of the Greater Livingston County Economic Development Council took place last night in Saunemin. Since December of 2007, an interim board of both private and public-sector members have been working toward last night's transitional meeting. Saunemin Mayor Mike Stoecklin held on to his interim Chairmanship by being elected Chairman.  His term is thru 2010.  OSF St. James CEO, Dave Ochs, was elected Vice Chairman.  Ochs' term runs thru 2012.  Dwight Village Administrator Kevin McNamara was elected as the group's Secretary/Treasurer.  McNamara's term runs thru 2012. Of the 16 remaining members of the newly elected Board of Directors, 8 were elected to serve on the GLCEDC Executive Committee.  Those members included Mike Cohlman of Champion Fitness, Glen Ludwig of Creative Ag Solutions, Scott Bauknecht of Freestar Bank, Mike McCoy of McCoy Construction, Ron Minneart of the State Bank of Graymont, Terry Sullivan of Sullivan Realty, Joan Bullard of Joan Bullard Realty, and Patty Damm of Caterpillar. Those serving on the Board of Directors, in addition to those on the Executive Committee and elected officers include; Bill Kauffman of the Bank of Pontiac, Joe Mikulecky of the Farnsworth Group, Carl Borngasser of the Livingston County Board, Sandy Erschen of Manpower, Leo Johnson of Pontiac District #90, Tom Tock, former publisher of Star Newspapers, Mark Brummel of Barrett Realty, and a representative from the Livingston County Board of Realtors.
